How to set up an MCP to your own AI client

Step 1: Log in to your AI client

  • Open or log in to your AI client as normal (Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible AI).

Step 2: Request the MCP details from Ansarada

  • Request the MCP details from the Customer Success team.

Step 3: Add custom connector

  • Once you have obtained the information from Ansarada success, you can add your custom connector.

  • Go to Add custom connector & paste in the details

    • Note you may need to work with your IT team to set up and enable a custom connector pointing at Ansarada.

Step 4: Login to Ansarada

  • The AI client will redirect you to Ansarada's standard login page.

Step 5: Confirmation of connection

  • A consent screen will appear, disclosing what the AI is being granted access to. Select Accept if you're happy to proceed.

Step 6: You're connected!

  • Navigate back to your AI client and you'll now be able to check Data Room status, list accessible rooms, browse the index of a selected room.

FAQs

How can I get Claude/ Chatgpt to summarise my documents?

This isn't possible with an MCP to an external AI client, however you can use our in-built AiDA to perform document summaries. AiDA information can be found here.

Can I get my own AI tool to answer questions in the room?

No, access to external AI tools is read-only, you can however use AiDA to assist with answering similar questions.

I can't add Ansarada as a custom connector - why?

Please discuss this internally with your IT team, you made need additional permissions to do so or your IT team will need to do this ffor you.
