Pause syncing

Pause syncing on files and folders in Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive.

People can pause individual files and also folders from syncing in Pathways. 

Once it has been paused no updates will be reflected in Pathways.

If a folder has been synced, people will be unable to sync an individual file. Instead they must stop syncing the entire folder.

Pause file


To pause syncing on an individual file, follow the below steps:

  1. From the Pathways dashboard, select a Pathway

2. Go to the Sub menu. Select Topics.


3. Select an Area, then select a Topic.


4. Select the item menu next to the file, then select Pause sync.

💡Tip: To re-connect, select the Item menu, then Resume sync.

Pause folder

To pause syncing on a folder, follow the below steps:

  1. From the Pathways dashboard, select a 

2. Go to the Sub menu. Select Topics.


3. Select an Area, then select a Topic.


4. Go to Documents, select the Item menu next to Add documents and select Manage synced folders.

5. Select the Item menu next to the folder, then select Stop syncing new files.

6. Select Done.

💡Tip: To re-connect you will need to re-sync the folder to the Topic.
