Having issues with your numbering? Need help getting your bulk uploads formatted correctly? Don't worry -- we have the repair numbering tool to help you quickly get things in order.
Repair numbering is used to adjust the look of your number and naming conventions, it ultimately allows you to re-organise your index and make sure it appears in an easily digestible way for your guests.
⚠️ Good to know: Admins can also quickly rename and renumber the document index using the bulk edit tool, refer to bulk edit Document Index online help page.
How to open repair numbering tool
Go to Manage Documents > top right Actions > Repair numbering.
Numbering scheme
There are 3 options you can use depending on your situation to fix numbering issues that you may encounter when bulk uploading.
1. Numbers to name
When you have not pre-numbered your files and folders, but selected “use my numbers” when bulk uploading. The Room will detect the first word of the files and folders as number and appear as grey, see below example:
Select Number to name option so the name will appear the name field rather than the number field.
Next, use the renumbering tool to assign number to the files and folders.
2. Names to number (characters before first space)
When you have pre-numbered your files and folders, but have not selected “use my numbers” when bulk uploading. The files and folders would appear as double numbering, see below example:
Select Name to number option if you prefer to use your own numbering.
3. Delete characters before first space in name
When you have pre-numbered your files and folders, but have not selected “use my numbers” when bulk uploading. The files and folders would appear as double numbering, see below example:
Select Delete characters before first space in name option if you prefer to use Ansarada auto-numbering.
