ℹ️ This feature is only accessible to Admins and Publishers.

With MS Office Online Edit, you can access your MS Office documents stored in your Room and make real-time changes to the documents without the need to download or install the desktop versions of the applications.


How to use MS Office Online Edit

To edit MS Office documents online please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Manage Documents.

  2. Select the document you want to edit and select the Item menu.

  3. Select Edit in Microsoft Office.

  4. The editing tool will appear on new tab, multiple users can simultaneously collaborate on the same document, seeing each others changes in real-time and work together seamlessly.

up to 300MB

(This is still subject to the overall 60 second time out for file downloads. In addition, for embedded media, the size limit is 100MB for most embedded media types. For WAV files the limit is 100KB.)

📍Troubleshooting

Publishers can only use the MS Office Online Edit feature if the security controls are turned off. If the security controls are turned on for a MS Office document, Publishers trying to edit it in MS Office online will see the following message:
