❗️Error: Office documents encrypted with password to open or Rights Management are not supported.

If you receive this error, it indicates that there may be some encryption on the file that you are trying to upload into your data room.

As security can be applied to Microsoft Office documents from your Ansarada data room, all preexisting encryption will need to be removed from the file prior to uploading.

Solution

Please check the potential causes below prior to uploading the file again.

Solution

1

Is the file password-protected?

Remove the password by opening the document with the current password, go to 'File > Passwords' and clear the password in the password box, then click OK.

2

Was the file downloaded from a data room?

Please contact [email protected] to have the file decrypted.

3

Does the file exceed 500MB (if using the single document upload feature), or exceed 1.5GB (if you are using a bulk upload feature)?

To upload file larger than 500 MB, please use the Bulk Upload tool. The maximum file size for individual PDF, Excel, Word and PowerPoint file is 1.5 GB. Files larger than 1.5 GB need to be split into smaller files or converted to a .zip file. The file size for .zip files is unlimited.

4

Is the file being uploaded from an external drive (hard-drive) or cloud storage (G Drive / Sharepoint / Onedrive)?

Download the file directly to your local drive and uploading directly from your device.
